Lamiflex selected Borden Business Park in Indiana for its first manufacturing facility in the United States, according to Manufacturing Dive’s 12 September 2025 project roundup. The group is headquartered in Nyköping, Sweden.

Investment and manufacturing programme

The company’s project description puts the capital investment at $5.04 million and identifies sheet-steel manufacturers as the principal customers for the planned plastic packaging materials. Lamiflex says the factory would employ about 62 people at full capacity. Its investment programme also includes employee training and advanced automation, including robotic machinery.

The 4 September announcement by One Southern Indiana gives 2027 as the target for 62 net new full-time jobs. It describes wages above the county average and a training programme intended to prepare employees to operate and maintain the new robotic equipment. Board member Phil Yu represented the company in the announcement, alongside Borden Town Council President Steve Williams and One Southern Indiana chief executive Lance Allison.

  • Location: Borden Business Park.
  • Activities: manufacturing and warehousing plastic packaging components.
  • Employment programme: 62 net new full-time positions by 2027.
