Moscow Exchange and Interfax signed a five-year agreement to develop information and analytical products for exchange and over-the-counter markets in Russia. Interfax reported on 10 June 2024 that Yury Denisov and Mikhail Komissar signed it on 7 June at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Datashop and internal-control services
The announcement identifies fundamental data, analytics and news streams as areas of joint work. It also records Moscow Exchange’s presentation of Datashop and Compliance Tool at the forum.
Information-service plans published before the agreement
The exchange’s 2023 annual-report section on information technology had already set out a 2024 Datashop launch. It described an open marketplace containing partners’ information products alongside the exchange group’s own offerings, with applications spanning algorithmic trading and brokers’ analytical support for investors.
The report also identified an information-analytical centre established in 2023. Its planned commodity-market reviews, bulletins and reports covered Russia and other CIS countries, with distribution through Trade Radar and partner agencies or exchanges. This programme preceded the June agreement rather than being an output created by it.
Trade Radar’s earlier presentation
Moscow Exchange presented Trade Radar’s beta version on 15 June 2023. Its information and trading modules included visualisation tools and market data. The dated presentation distinguished functions already available from further capabilities planned for development.
- Current and historical quotations and securities-reference data were available.
- The terminal supported technical analysis and a news feed.
- Specialised protected chats supported negotiations between interbank participants.
The exchange said it administered the service, identified participants and retained negotiation records. Corporate reporting and additional trading functionality were described as future developments in that 2023 announcement.
