Polyplast launched the first phase of a high-molecular-weight, thermally stable polymer complex at its Novomoskovsk plant in the Tula region. Interfax reported the event on 26 August 2024, citing the regional government. The stated RUB17 billion relates to the project as a whole; the report does not separate the first phase’s cost.

The ceremony and the next production stages

The company announcement published on 26 August dates the ceremony to 24 August. Participants included Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov, acting regional governor Dmitry Milyaev and Polyplast chairman Alexander Shamsutdinov. The company attributes the polymer-base technology to its own research centre.

  • The first phase is the production stage reported as launched.
  • A further thermally stable polymer production stage was planned.
  • A polymer binder for thermal-insulation materials formed a separate planned production development.

Research and commercial cooperation before the launch

Polyplast Novomoskovsk’s 7 May account of the Neftegaz-2024 exhibition records a memorandum with Digital Procurement Services signed at the April event. It describes planned expert and analytical cooperation on oil-and-gas projects. The agreement predates the August opening; it is not a disclosed customer order for the new polymer complex.

The same account places the exhibition at Moscow’s Expocentre and records 1,020 participating companies from 12 countries. Polyplast’s attendance and memorandum establish a commercial-cooperation milestone before the factory launch, without identifying quantities of polymer purchased or revenue generated by the new equipment.

Project agreement and company contact

Polyplast and the Tula regional government signed their project-implementation agreement at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2024, according to Interfax.

The company contact directory, checked on 6 October 2026, provides 8 800 200 08 28 for calls within Russia. The general sales contact does not identify a visitor entrance or a dedicated number for the new production unit.
