Commercial popcorn equipment for food service production

RoboLabs opened a food-equipment factory in Tver after investing RUB500 million, Interfax reported on 21 November 2024, citing the regional government. The production site covers more than 6,500 square metres and created 200 jobs. Its equipment serves catering businesses, retailers, cinemas and fast-food chains.

Products and the production programme

  • Investment: RUB500 million.
  • Production area: more than 6,500 square metres.
  • Reported initial monthly production: 700 units.

Equipment demonstrated at the opening

The Tver Industrial Development Fund’s 20 November account identifies the operator as NPO Tvertorgmash, using the RoboLabs brand. It describes the ceremony as opening a new building following a substantial relocation. Founder Mikhail Korin, regional industry minister Vladimir Ilyin, Toeskin and restaurant-industry representatives attended.

Guests saw an automated popcorn line rated at up to 500 kilograms an hour, a pizza robot developed with Dodo Pizza, and a robot performing the complete french-fry cooking cycle. These demonstrations provide specific examples of the engineering work being undertaken, separate from the factory’s monthly count of equipment manufactured.

The difference between launch production and the expansion target

Annualising the reported 700-unit monthly rate gives 8,400 units over twelve months.
