The quarantine agency of Indonesia, Barantin, presented an export clinic for small businesses in Palu, Central Sulawesi, during the city's 48th-anniversary events on 27 September 2026. ANTARA reported that the service provides consultation on quarantine, commodity inspection, certification and destination-market requirements.

A signed agreement with the city
Barantin's same-day official announcement records a cooperation agreement witnessed by Karding and Palu mayor Hadianto Rasyid. It follows an earlier memorandum and covers supervision of movements of animals, fish, plants and their products. The agency also describes education, information technology and service digitalisation within the cooperation.
The clinic formed part of the anniversary programme, bringing consultation to businesses attending the event. The signed municipal agreement has a wider remit than the clinic: it also concerns coordination of commodity supervision between central and local government.
The national ministry's parallel programme
A separate ANTARA report from the same day quotes deputy for medium enterprises Bagus Rachman on a planned agreement between the MSME Ministry and Barantin. He cited 33,935 registered small businesses in Palu and the city's special economic zone, established in 2014.
Rachman also described SAPA UMKM, a digital gateway integrating business verification, financing, certification, bookkeeping and transaction services. The local consultation clinic and that national digital gateway are separate service formats. The municipal agreement was signed; the ministry-level agreement was still being prepared. Retaining those two statuses gives a precise account of what the September event established.
