Sectigo announced a preview of its updated SiteLock service for selected partners at CloudFest 2024, scheduled for 18–21 March at Europa-Park in Germany. The 7 March company announcement also placed certificate lifecycle management on the meeting agenda.
Meeting venue and product teams
The official event notice puts Sectigo’s VIP lounge opposite the Dome Stage. Meetings were scheduled for 19–21 March, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CET. The company named global-partners vice president Jairo Fraile, product-management director Sachin Golechha and sales-engineering director Stephen Nyhan as participants.
The notice describes a partner preview before the revised SiteLock service went live. It therefore announces a forthcoming demonstration, rather than a completed general release or results from the conference. SiteLock’s product categories include vulnerability scanning, malware detection and remediation, and automated CMS patching.
SiteLock’s place in the company
Sectigo acquired SiteLock in May 2021; the transaction included Netherlands-based CMS-patching provider Patchman. At that time, Sectigo said the acquired service protected more than 16 million websites. It retained the SiteLock brand as a separate business unit.
The same acquisition announcement described earlier additions: website-backup company CodeGuard in 2018 and IoT-security developer Icon Labs in 2019. These distinct product categories explain why the CloudFest agenda combines website protection with certificate-management work.
Certificate discovery documented before CloudFest
In technical release notes updated on 21 March 2023, Sectigo described certificate buckets for storing network and Microsoft Active Directory discovery results. Assignment rules apply to buckets; an administrator can delegate them to organisations or departments. Discovery tasks must be explicitly assigned to a network agent or the hosted cloud scanner.
- Certificate buckets and discovery tasks support audit events.
- Assignment conditions include host name, key usage and extended key usage.
- Discovery details can be exported to CSV from the interface.
These documented features predate the 2024 event. They illustrate the certificate-management part of Sectigo’s portfolio and are separate from the announced SiteLock preview.
Company contacts
The event notice directs partners to Sectigo’s contact form to book meetings. The March announcement places the company in Scottsdale, Arizona. The future meeting schedule is retained as announced on 7 March.
