Hevel commissioned three solar power stations in the Artinsky district of Sverdlovsk Region, Russia, on 16 September 2024. Their combined installed capacity is 37.9 megawatts. Interfax reported from the launch ceremony that the generating facilities represented approximately 2.7 billion roubles of investment.
Construction and generating equipment
The Hevel announcement reproduced by Elec.ru dates construction to 2021. The project occupies approximately 90 hectares and incorporates more than 116,000 heterojunction photovoltaic modules, six inverter stations and over 350 kilometres of cable. The inverters connect the modules’ electricity output to the generating installation’s alternating-current equipment.
The company forecasts approximately 40 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Dividing that forecast by the installed capacity gives about 1,055 equivalent full-capacity operating hours per year. This calculation uses the project’s announced figures; the annual generation forecast is not a measurement collected after a full year of operation.
Connection to the electricity network
A separate Rosseti announcement dated 16 September describes the Chekmash substation, operated by Rosseti Ural, which receives power from the three stations. It is a 110-kilovolt installation with 40 megavolt-amperes of transformer capacity. Rosseti reports domestic equipment, remote monitoring, automated process control and electricity metering, with equipment exchanging data through IEC 61850-8-1.
- The generating stations have 37.9 megawatts of installed capacity.
- Chekmash provides the network connection at 110 kilovolts.
- The transformer rating is 40 megavolt-amperes.
Investment and company forecasts
Interfax separately puts the substation and transmission-line investment at approximately 550 million roubles. The two investment figures refer to different parts of the project.
