
Türkiye reported an October 2024 goods-trade deficit of $5.9 billion, down 10.5% from October 2023. Exports reached $23.5 billion against imports of $29.4 billion, Anadolu Agency reported on 28 November. The ten-month deficit also narrowed, by 30.1%, to $65.8 billion.
Export growth and lower cumulative imports
The Treasury and Finance Ministry’s dated statistical bulletin gives the unrounded general-trade totals: January–October exports of $216.195 billion and imports of $282.049 billion. Exports grew 3.1% from the corresponding 2023 period; imports fell 7.2%. October exports also increased 3.1%, while imports were unchanged year on year.
Calculating from those ten-month totals, imports exceeded exports by $65.854 billion. The deficit equalled approximately 30.46% of exports.

- The official bulletin puts ten-month exports to Germany at $17.097 billion.
- Manufacturing accounted for 93.3% of October exports.
- Intermediate goods made up 68.2% of October imports.
